This week each year, we take time to recognize those women who make a difference and are contributing to Cannon Building’s overall success. Two women in particular have been with the company for many years and work behind-the-scenes at our main office in Placentia.  

Lisa Oglesbee is the director of operations for administration, where she is responsible for contracts administration, the safety program, the master schedule, IT, inventory, and job setup. She began her career in computer science but pivoted to construction operations and management, where she has thrived for the past 15 years. She helped to lead the implementation of the project management and accounting systems (as well as their integration) at Cannon Building, and she is most proud of her role in developing teams that can tackle any issue that may arise! 

Debbie Jones is a project accountant, who has been with Cannon Building since 2012. In her role, she is responsible for reviewing and processing owner billings, subcontractor and vendor invoices, and change orders. She loves the variety of work she does and prides herself on delivering excellent customer service to Cannon Building’s clients. Reflecting on her career trajectory, Debbie has enjoyed the challenge of learning the construction business after 26 years in the printing industry.
