Laborer
The Field Laborer performs a variety of physical tasks on construction sites, including site preparation, material handling, equipment operation, and general support to ensure projects run safely and efficiently.

Internships
In our project engineering program, interns will be exposed to a variety of experiences and hands-on training. Our interns work with all departments in order to showcase the entire construction process workflow, from estimating to job completion. Interns will be involved with everything from job walks, to industry networking events as well as have exposure to industry experts and mentors.

Medical/Prescription Coverage Choices – Blue Shield and Anthem

Cannon Building will contribute 90% of the employee premium and 50% of the dependent premium on the basic HMO medical plan.
Dental/Vision/Life
Cannon Building offers HMO or PPO Dental Plans, a family vision plan, and a $25,000 life insurance policy for the employee only.
401(k) Saving Plan
Cannon Building provides a discretionary employer contribution equal to 5% of employee 401(k) contributions each pay period, beginning after six months of service.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Cannon Building offers an FSA which allows eligible employees to set aside a specific pretax dollar amount for unreimbursed medical, dental, vision, orthodontia, and dependent care expenses.
Vacation Time
Vacation accrual based on years of employment with Cannon Building goes into effect immediately upon the salaried employee’s start date with a maximum of 200 hours (five weeks).
Sick Time
Cannon Building’s salaried employees are eligible for up to six sick days per year. Up to 50% of this is paid sick time may be used for the care of a sick child or spouse.
Eight Paid Holidays
Cannon Building pays salaried employees for eight holidays.
Jury Duty
Cannon Building grants up to a five-day leave of absence, with pay, while serving on a civil or criminal jury.
Bereavement Time
Cannon Building grants a leave of absence with pay of up to three workdays, due to the death of an immediate family member.
Employee Referral Incentive Program
Cannon Building offers a referral incentive to employees who recommend qualified candidates for open positions. Employees whose referrals are successfully hired are eligible to receive a bonus. The bonus will be distributed in two phases: 50% upon the new hire’s start date and 50% upon successful completion of a 90-day onboarding period. Participation is open to all employees.
Educational Assistance Plan
Cannon Building provides financial assistance to employees to further their education and enhance their professional skills. Reimbursement of up to $500 per calendar year is available for tuition costs (including books) for pre-approved courses that relate to career advancement.
