At Cannon Building, we enjoy a rare opportunity to spend time away from work getting to know our vendors and clients in a personal setting. Tim and Sally Cannon recently had a very special experience with Andrzej Krol, owner of California Electrical Services, and his wife at their home in Mammoth, CA. The Krols and Cannons share a love of the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Several years ago, Andrzej and his brother, Kris, discovered a spot in the surrounding Inyo National Forest where mushrooms grow prolifically. (That’s Kris with a mushroom harvest in the photo on the left.) While others may have shied away from harvesting them, the Krols knew from their upbringing in Poland that these wild mushrooms were a delectable treat.

Upon learning that the Cannons were headed north for a weekend, Andrzej extended an invitation for a gourmet mushroom risotto dinner. Tim and Sally were regaled with knowledge and recipes that include the locally grown fungi. The owners of Cannon Building and California Electrical Services enjoyed the chance to get to know each other better and bond over a delicious meal. Tim and Sally say it was magical, but because of the company and the cooking – not the wild mushrooms.

Cannon Building and California Electrical Services have recently collaborated on projects including for Baxter and Neutrogena.
