Sr. Project Engineer

Describe the last 10-15 years of your career in a snapshot.

I began working construction in 2012, as an assistant cabinet installer. After years of finish carpentry, I went to work for a General Contractor doing Tenant Improvement in the Aerospace Industry. With Cannon Building, I am excited to apply my knowledge while continuing to learn in this ever-evolving industry.

Favorite building, structure, or architectural piece, and why?

The Cathedral, La Sagrada Família, in Barcelona Spain. It is awe inspiring: not just the scale, complexity, and beauty of the building, but the fact that work began in 1882 and it is still unfinished! For me, this building is an invitation to reflect on what I am doing and what is possible, to aim higher and collaborate with those around me. There is no telling what can be accomplished while working together.

What does “customer experience” mean to you, and how do you deliver on it with your work?

The customer, especially first-time customers, are taking a risk when they hire an individual or a company for goods and services. I would like my clients to have the confidence that I understand their vision, that I have the expertise to accomplish the project, and that I will do so honestly and respectfully, with a spirit of collaboration.

What are a few of your passions or hobbies?

Wood working. Using such a beautiful medium and working with my hands is a passion. Solving the problems that arise is challenging, sometimes frustrating but intensely enjoyable. Once I have the space available, a project I have on my horizon is to build from scratch a 1950s Chris-Craft Riviera.
